Our Charter

Updated: Thrusday, July 31, 2008

Kappa Sigma was once one of the original fraternities at the University of Montana, but had its charter revoked on May 19, 1927 when every active member of the fraternity was drafted into the Second World War. Many years later a group of men at the University of Montana decided to resurrect the ancient values and brotherhood of Kappa Sigma, and worked to reinstate Kappa Sigma at the University of Montana. After much hard work by a new brotherhood of men, the Delta Omicron Chapter of Kappa Sigma was re-chartered on May 19, 2007.

Today the active members of the Delta Omicron Chapter honor the original founders by displaying the original charter beside our new 2007 charter. It stands not only as a historical relic but as a tribute to our brothers who have served our great country.
