24 Hour Fight Song

Started by our chapter in 2004, the 24 Hour Fight Song has become a celebrated tradition at the University of Montana. The event has grown in popularity over the years and has come to include UM students and staff as well as many Missoula residents.

The 24 Hour Fight Song takes place the Thursday and Friday before the 'Brawl of the Wild,' the rivalry game between the University of Montana Grizzlies and the University of Montana Bobcats.

For this event, chapter members sing the UM Fight Song every hour on the hour for 24 hours. We start the event at 12 noon on Thursday November, 20, and continues until 12 noon on Friday November, 21.

Due to the length of the event, many members take a break from singing to sleep while other members carry out singing and participating. However, there are the 'selected' few who choose to sing the Fight Song for the entire 24 hour period.
