Service

As one of our four pillars, service has a strong emphasis among all active members of the Delta Omicron Chapter. As Kappa Sigma gentlemen, we believe that we have the ability to influence our community in a positive and healthy way.

To promote citizenship within the chapter, we require that each member serve his community for at least 25 hours and donate $25 to their cause of choice each semester.

Individual members are encouraged to pursue a cause that is meaningful to him. Some of theChapter at Take Back the Night organizations our members volunteer for include: Associated Students of the University of Montana, Inter-fraternity Council, Alternative Energy Technologies, the Poverello Center, and the YMCA. Along with these organizations, our members hold volunteer positions with various religious groups, political organizations and other community organizations throughout Missoula.

Every year, our chapter stands together under the banner of brotherhood to promote two nationally recognized events: Take Back the Night and Relay For Life.

Our chapter received the 2008 Service Award, this award is a testiment for our chapter's dedication for serving our community by volunteering our time and resources.
