Fellowship
The Fellowship of Kappa Sigma began over six hundred years ago when students of the University of Bologna joined together for their mutual protection. Then, in 1869, the Scarlet, White, and Emerald Green of Kappa Sigma came to the United States when the Five Founding Friends and Brothers established the first Kappa Sigma chapter at the University of Virginia.
The Five Founding Friends and Brothers of Kappa Sigma were George Arnold, John Boyd, William McCormick, Frank Nicodemus and Edmund Rogers. These men chose members who would complement their ideas and ambitions.
